AMV1OI: Grade 9 Vocal Music
Students learn effective vocal warm-up exercises that develop proper voice production and diction. Students will participate in fun, engaging activities that develop self-confidence, creativity, imagination, and leadership. Students will have several opportunities to create their own music. AMV2OI: Grade 10 Vocal Music
Students sing in a variety of styles within full choir and small ensemble formats. Students will participate in fun, engaging activities that develop self-confidence, creativity, imagination, and leadership. Ear training, theory, and historical knowledge are developed. AMV3MI: Grade 11 Vocal Music
This course is a continuation of AMV2OI. Students will participate in fun, engaging activities that further develop vocal skills, self-confidence, creativity, imagination, and leadership. AMV4MI: Grade 12 Vocal Music (University/College Prep)
This course further develops the singer for poise, self-confidence and leadership. Students will get a chance to lead the class in warm up and conducting activities. Ear training, theory, and historical knowledge are developed. Students will prepare a song of their choice for recording and/or class performance.
