AMI1OI: Grade 9 Instrumental Music
In this fun class, students will develop their woodwind, brass, or percussion skills within full band, small ensemble, and individual settings. Students will participate in engaging activities that develop self-confidence, creativity, imagination, and leadership. Essential theory and music technology is covered to provide the tools for students to write their own music. AMI2OI: Grade 10 Instrumental Music
Students will develop their woodwind, brass, or percussion skills within full band, small ensemble, and individual settings. At least one year experience on the student’s chosen instrument is highly recommended. Essential theory and technology is covered with composition as the focus. AMI3MI: Grade 11 Instrumental Music
This senior music course is the next sequential step to achieving musical mastery on the student’s chosen instrument(s). Students will further develop creative and performance skills in large group, small ensemble and individual settings. Music from various eras and styles will be performed and studied. AMU4MI: Grade 12 Instrumental Music (University/College Prep)
This course emphasizes the performance and study of music from various eras and styles. Students develop their interpretive and performance skills in the band.
